The annual meeting of all mining and subcontracting professionals from DRC will take place between June the 13 and 15 at the Pullman Grand Karavia Hotel in Lubumbashi. This 2018 Edition should welcome around 180 exhibitors from about forty countries, on 2500 m2 of exhibition space, in the hotel gardens, and will break its attendance record of around 3000 visitors over the two days.
Among the new features on the programme for this fourteenth edition is the strong presence of South Africa and Zimbabwe, which together will showcase more than 40 companies, thanks in particular to the support of the South African Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and ZimTrade, its Zimbabwean counterpart.
A beautiful business network platform in perspective, but also a combination of conferences and technical workshops whose schedule is particularly appetising. The first day (June 14) will be devoted to innovations likely to foster the development and growth of mining companies, and the next day, community development and the fight against ‘anonymous extractive companies’ will be on the menu.
Between topics such as ‘integration services and data mining application systems’, ‘new trends in high-tech communication’, ‘data analysis tools in the engineering and transport sector’, or even ‘presentations of the latest gold detectors’, everyone should find something to their taste.
In addition to the matchmaking platform, a digital tool for networking and business connections, we also expect to discover the demo area dedicated to large mining equipment and machines or the Maptek Technology hub, also new in 2018, dedicated to the presentation of cutting-edge and state-of-the-art technologies in the mining and industrial sector.
